Positions Available: Web Designer | Sr. Ecommerce Programmer
Web & Graphic Designer:
We are looking for an experienced designer to help create websites well as storefront templates for a diverse range of small business clients as well as for internal needs. This individual should have a strong background in graphic and web design and the ability to share skills and help other designers improve. Previous web design, graphic design or ad agency experience a plus. A successful candidate will be able to complete multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Daily creation of design materials for a wide range of small business clients: websites, templates, banner ads, custom graphics, and more.
- Regular communication with project management team, programmers and other designers
- Manage and complete several different projects a day.
- Contribute ideas, suggestions, and skills to the improvement of our design team
Requirements
- Ability to use Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe illustrator, and/or Macromedia/Adobe Fireworks.
- Understanding of web design and useability principles, colors, etc.
- Understanding of HTML, XHTML and CSS - can alter web pages without a visual HTML designer, if needed.
- Portfolio with web and/or graphic design samples desired (even if several mockups, we just want to see what you can do)
- Previous experience working with other designers, managing creatives, and directing projects is a plus for future career path
- If working from home, ability to save PhotoShop / illustrator / Fireworks files for use on a PC.
- Flash design experience a plus
- Part-Time scheduling to start - approx 5-8 hours per week
Location:
- Provo, Utah.
Can work from home but must be in the Utah Valley area and able to meet at the office in Provo once every couple of weeks to discuss projects
Salary:
- $11.00 to $16.00 per hour depending upon skill set and experience
- Additional compensation based on performance
- Pay raise after 90 days
Sr. Ecommerce Programmer:
Responsibilities:
- Design and create ecommerce portal APIs and various ecommerce related web applications
- Manage and complete several different projects each month.
- Contribute ideas, suggestions, and skills, to the improvement of our programming team
Requirements:
- Perl experience - 7+ years
- Extensive experience in Ruby / Ruby on Rails - 2+ years
- Proficient in C/C++
- Proficient in .NET C#
- Extensive experience in mySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
- Proficient in Apache and server email services
- Proficient in Linux
- AgoraCart experience
- Experience with payment processing gateway APIs
- Experience with real-time shipping APIs
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
